Bucks County Council's Speed Limit Review has frequently disappeared off the radar, but looks like re-appearing once again this summer, as work is scheduled to begin on area 13, which coveres the Ivinghoe division.

Originally to be complete by 2007, it was rescheduled for 2011 and is now due to begin in June 2009.

Northall, and Great Gap are hoping for significant improvements, but all proposals will be widely publicised and consulted on before implementation.

County Councillor Avril Davies, who has worked closely with those worst affected villages said:

Tthe lack of resources and will power of the County Council to complete this review has been embarrassing, even to me, as a member of the opposition.

" I have raised it time and time again in Council. I hope that this review won't be held up again with recent government proposals to reduce the national speed limits.

But speed limits don't stop people speeding and the police must do more to enforce existing limits.'
