About Us

The Mid and North Bucks Liberal Democrats is a local party organisation that incorporates all of the new Mid Buckinghamshire and a large part of the new Buckingham and Bletchley constituencies.

This is a large, mainly rural area incorporating the historic market towns of Buckingham, Winslow, Princes Risborough, Wendover and Great Missenden.

We also have many picturesque villages such as The Claydons, Quainton, The Lea and Haddenham, which has frequently been used as a location for Midsomer Murders.

We are experiencing a significant growth in new housing development, with residents relocating from all parts of the country. This brings great opportunities but also many challenges.

We have a growing and enthusiastic membership comprising councillors, campaigners and volunteers.

In the 2019 General Election, in the previous Buckingham constituency, we finished a clear second to the Conservatives, with Labour a distant third.

Our area is part of Buckinghamshire Council, a new Unitary Authority established in 2020.

The Liberal Democrats are the largest opposition party on the Council, with seventeen councillors. We also have many town and parish councillors who are active throughout the constituency.
