Lib Dems in Clear Second Place in Buckingham Constituency
The YouGov constituency estimate (December 10th) puts the Lib Dems in clear second place behind the Tories, with Labour in 3rd place, projected to get half the Lib Dems' vote share. There is no Green candidate.
Lib Dem Stephen Dorrell's share of the vote is estimated at 28 %, the mid point in a range of 20% (lowest) to 37% (highest)
The Labour vote is estimated at 14%, in a range of 8% (lowest) to 20% (highest).
This is the first independent poll of the Buckingham constituency and it shows beyond argument that the Lib Dems are the only party capable of beating the Tory here. But for us to do so would require Labour voters to vote tactically for us.
YouGov did seat estimates for every Parliamentary constituency in England, Scotland and Wales, based on its MRP model, on 10th December.
The estimates are based on analysis of key demographics, past voting behaviour, and the likely turnout among different demographic groups. YouGov uses this data to estimate voting in each constituency.
