Buckingham Lib Dems 2023 AGM returns to Haddenham Village Hall
The Buckingham Lib Dems Annual General Meeting will once again be held in the conference room of Haddenham Village Hall. It will be an in-person and online meeting, with those not able to travel to Haddenham invited to attend on Zoom.
The meeting will comprise of the Annual General Meeting of the Buckingham Constituency Liberal Democrats Local Party and the Inaugural General Meeting of the Mid- and North Buckinghamshire Liberal Democrats Local Party.
As you will be aware, parliamentary boundaries are changing. As Liberal Democrat local parties in Buckinghamshire are organised along parliamentary constituency lines, this requires a re-alignment of our local parties.
For this purpose, we need to dissolve the current Buckingham Constituency Local Party and form a new local party that takes in the new Mid Buckinghamshire parliamentary constituency as well as those parts of the new Buckingham & Bletchley parliamentary constituency that sit within Buckinghamshire local authority. We propose to name this new local party Mid- and North Buckinghamshire Liberal Democrats.
After the formal business of the meeting there will be a talk by Baroness Elizabeth Barker, who is a Lib Dem member of the House of Lords, followed by a buffet lunch and drinks.
There is no charge to attend the meeting but you are welcome to make a contribution towards the room hire and catering. Please donate by clicking the donate button in the top right of our homepage here
