She has been the Liberal Democrat councillor for Buckingham East on Buckinghamshire Council since 2023, where she sits on the Health and Adult Social Care and Finance & Resources scrutiny committees. She has lived in Buckingham since 1992, when she came here to study at the university. Her expertise as an academic at the Open University includes sustainable enterprise and entrepreneurship.

Robert Brignall
Robert is a mathematician working for the Open University who has lived with his family in Buckingham since 2016. He has a keen interest in community, education and the environment, and has helped run the Buckingham Repair Café since its foundation. As a local resident, he understands concerns about housing: both the lack of affordable housing for local families, and also the impact of new developments on local infrastructure.

Nick Jackson
Nick has lived in the Buckingham Ward for over 11 years and greatly enjoys its historical and natural environment. As a councillor he would be able to draw upon his experience as a government accountant and policy maker, working in information technology and advising businesses. Nick has specific expertise in improving public services to make better use of limited funds, including in areas of education, child care services and youth justice.
Our Priorities for the Buckingham Ward
The May 1st elections in Buckinghamshire will be a clear choice between a fresh start with the Lib Dems or more of the same with the Conservatives.
- Homes that local people can afford and the schools, health care and transport links that they need.
- Investment in road maintenance and repairs that stand the test of time and provide good value for tax payers’ money.
- Listening to local residents and working with them to address problems rather than one-size-fits-all policies.
- A genuine commitment to nature protection and climate action in Buckinghamshire.
